People ask me all the time, "Paola, why did you leave Italy for Clearwater?" A few have even suggested I should have stayed there. (Thanks, I love you too.)
So I thought about it. Really. And I have to confess: maybe I watched too much TV. The Golden Girls, to be exact. That lovely Florida house with the patio and the breakfast nook, beach days, parties, dance classes, sunshine and palm trees every single day. I wanted in.
And you know what? It turned out to be true. Florida is truly a wonderful place to live, and that's probably why I love being a broker so much. I get to help people find their own version of that dream, every day. And that’s how an Italian journalist became a Clearwater realtor.
Here's the funny thing about the real estate noise. Everyone has an opinion: the media, your neighbor, your cousin who "almost bought a condo once." It's hard to tell what really matters. My advice: tune out the shouting, look at what's actually happening around you, and work with people who live and breathe your market.
