Clearwater, Florida — Governor Scott has OK’d $5 million in state funding for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. The aquarium will use the money to fund a sequel to the popular family-oriented movie Dolphin Tale, featuring Winter, the tailless dolphin. TaxWatch had included the funding in its list of turkeys for the past legislative session, because the requests came in after legislators had a chance to review them. The state budget will give the aquarium $1-million from the Department of State, and another $4-million from the Department of Economic Opportunity. http://clearwater.wtsp.com/news/business/294112-governor-scott-oks-funding-aquarium-film-project
